Comfort comes first
Garba means hours of movement, so choose fabrics that breathe and styles with room to twirl. Flared skirts, A-line kurtis and lightweight co-ord sets all work well.
Go bold with colour
Navratri is the time for bright colours: red, yellow, green, royal blue and magenta. Many people also follow a colour for each of the nine days. Mirror work, embroidery and bandhani prints add to the festive look.
Style it simply
Let the outfit be the hero. Add jhumkas or oxidised jewellery, a bindi and comfortable footwear. Keep your dupatta secure with a pin so it does not get in the way while you dance.
